A Fulfilling Weekend

Alhamdulillah,
week 3 baru berakhir, I'm currently in week 4, Foundation 3rd semester.
For the past few days, I've been to 3 events, ketiga-tiganya cukup ohsem & fulfilling.
Kembara Sufi X is the first one, held in UTP for the 10th time.

Kembara Sufi ni sebenarnya konsert Islam, dengan tujuan nak mendidik berhibur in the Way of Islam.  Guest artiste malam tu : Far East, Hafiz Hamidun & Ustaz Don.
Siapa sangka, Chancellory FULL HOUSE malam tu!  Congrates to all committees termasuklah roomate aku yang sorang ni.
The event started around 9.20 pm, with opening song by Far East - Saat Lafaz Sakinah.  No wonder lagu ni ramai orang suka, saya je yang noob..haha.  Liriknya memang touching, dengan atmosphere CH yang dim, memang pakat feeling habisla.

An then it was followed by few other songs, but what I loved is their final song - Meniti Di Barzakh.  Meremang bulu roma dengar nasyid tu, bait - baitnya cukup memberi peringatan, reminds us that

this world is just like a RnR, we won't stay here permanently and we'll move on when the time comes :)

After that it was followed by Zikir Terapi from Hafiz Hamidun.  MasyaAllah, suara dia sebijik macam dekat youtube, tak ada beza langsung.  The zikir is very soothing and of course, calming.
Lastly, baru Ustaz Don.  He didn't sing but he told us a story about a young man named Tha'labah, who died because he was too afraid too enter the Hell, due to an accident when he accidentally saw a woman without proper covering of aurat.  Tha'labah then died in the arms of Rasulullah saw.  He then wrapped the event with a short explanation on the hukum berhibur dalam Islam.

Day 2 : Seminar Kecemerlangan Islamica by Ustaz Syaari

Actually I attempted to invite Ustaz Syaari for the Green Day last semester, tapi mungkin tak ada rezeki, we changed the plan and invited other speakers instead.  There's only one word, he was AWESOME!  For the whole day 9 am - 5pm, he managed to get us focused and inspired by the character of Sultan Muhammad Al Fateh, the one who conquered Constantinople at the age of 21.  Semangat naik membuak-buak masa tu.  One of the things he asked us to say;

Siapa saya?
Al Fateh
Kalau bukan saya?
Siapa lagi?
Kalau bukan sekarang?
Bila lagi?

My perspective was never clearer.  Ustaz Syaari succeed in lifting our spirits to follow the footsteps of Sultan Al Fateh & in making us realize that success won't be achieved in one day.  Just like the opening of Constantinople, it started earlier before by the sahabah and forefathers of Al- Fateh.

Day 3 - Dr Zakir Naik's Talk on Jihad and Terrorism at PWTC, Kuala Lumpur.

look at the crowd

The first time in my life, I saw a crowd this big.  More than 10,000 attended his talk.  Some of them even sat on the floor as the chairs are fully occupied.  Lagi terharu bila nampak brothers international & local solat berjemaah di sudut Dewan Tun Razak.  Plus, I also get to see Dr Mahathir up close as he also attended the talk with few other VIPs including Dr MAZA.

In his talk, Dr. Zakir Naik clearly explained the misconceptions of the word 'Jihad', caused by the media and the muslims itself.  There are many types of jihad and it'll change according to the situation and of course, fighting our own nafs is also a jihad.  He also stated that menegur (the word just don't come T_T) pemerintah yang zalim is the biggest Jihad.

meet my lovely cousins :)

The best part is during the open dialogue session, the questions are never easy yet Dr. Zakir Naik answered them confidently.
Some of the questions :

1) Allah says in Al- Quran that Nabi Isa will come during the End of The Day (Hari Kiamat) as the Messiah, yet it is also stated that Prophet Muhammad is the last Messenger.  Who is the last Messenger actually?

- the bro who asked the question is a Chinese, he also stated the number and name of Verse in Al Quran as his evidence.
-  Dr Zakir Naik answered his question saying that Isa alaihissalam will return at the day of judgement as umat of Prophet Muhammad
-He also added that Islam believed that Prophet Isa is one of the mightiest person upon Allah.
- In the Bible, Jesus never claimed his divinity
-He also said;
To understand Christian, don't look at the Church, but look at the Bible
To understand Islam, don't look at the Muslims, but look at the Quran

2) Then an Indian sister asked about verse 4:56 (when the skin is burned in Hell, it'll grow again and burned again) with the reincarnation of pain (A concept in Hinduism) .

-  He answered that the concept of reincarnation is never stated in Veda, but created by the scholars as a reason for birth of handicapped child etc.
Then he asked her "do you believe in God?"
She answered "Yes, I believed it now, after this I will recite the shahadah.
Terus satu dewan rasa syahdu. :')

banyak lagi soalan sebenarnya, tapi tak sempat catat.  May all these activities benefits me and the others in creating a new paradigm and strengthen our iman.

This lyrics never failed to motivate me:
Setibanya di sisimu ku berserah,
Terimalahku
HambaMu Allah :)

Reflections from Akademi Dakwah Muslimah

Bismillah,
Alhamdulillah, I'm back after 6 months!  Completing my final year studies and finishing all the projects on time did really acquire me to make some sacrifices, my blogging time is one of it. Nevertheless, I've successfully graduated from UTP since the last two months and here I am now, back in Perlis.
Frankly saying, I think this is the longest period of my stay at home since I started my degree studies 5-years ago. Most of my semester breaks were spent doing SRC works, couple of Minggu Aluan Siswa (MAS) weeks and study related matter. For now, It's kinda payback time. 😂
Alhamdulillah, last weekend I attended Akademi Dakwah Muslimah at Tasoh Lake Resort, organized by Jabatan Mufti Perlis. The 2-day seminar covered 6 topics which I found to be very attentive and practical as a Muslimah. Being a student not from Islamic Studies background did give me the chills at first, however after a couple of hours listening intently to the speakers, I've gotten a good kicks…

Leap of Faith

Bismillah,
Today I'm not going to talk about the leap of faith in Assassins Creed, which Cal (Michael Fassbender) attempted to save himself.

Google defines leap of faith as 'an act of believing in or attempting something whose existence or outcome cannot be proved'. In other words, to make a big decision which may have a big impact on one's life, with no guarantee whether it'll end up a success or a failure. It can be choosing between furthering your study and become an academician or enter the industrial world, getting married or changing the stream of your study. Some decisions may have a bigger impact in our lives, compared to the others.

This has been one of the longest period which I've stayed at home since the last 5 years. With the flexibility and ample of time in hand, post-graduation has really got me thinking. Somehow the transition between university life to the next phase isn't as fast and smooth-sailing as I've imagined. It's not like tod…

What Shall We Do on Fridays?

Bismillah,
So, we have reached another Jumu'ah in 2017, we are getting closer and closer towards Ramadhan, the time has been flying faster than ever. Hopefully we can make everyday meaningful by being a productive and impactful Muslim, insyaAllah.
I'd like to share the inputs that I've learned (almost a year ago, now flipping the note pages) during an Ibrah Seminar on Surah Al-Jumu'ah by Ust. Syaari Abdul Rahman. Alhamdulillah, the seminar was very insighful, I attended this program with my beloved juniors Sakinah, Syera & Chad. We took a day-trip as Bangi and UTP is only a 2.5 hrs drive.
About Surah Al-Jumu'ah
- This is the 62nd surah in the Quran, consisting of 11 verses.  - It is positioned after Surah As-Saff and before Surah Al-Munafiqun. - A Madaniyah surah (meaning that this surah was reveled after the event of Hijrah - where Rasululullah saw and the sahabahs migrated from Mecca to Madinah).
What is Ibrah?
Ibrah is the lesson learnt that we can gain and emulate …
